Safari Jungle and
River Adventure

Your day will start with an early morning pick-up right from your hotel or previously arranged location.  

From the comfort of our 4x4 vehicle, you will enjoy different landscapes as we will drive through rivers, by scenic beaches and into the majestic jungle. 

You will arrive at our first location at the end of a dirt road where horses will be waiting to take you into the heart of the rainforest.

From here we will proceed on horseback through a giant old-growth forest for approximately 30 minutes, where we will reach a typical Costa Rican wood house belonging to one of the first conservationists on the Osa Peninsula.

You will enjoy a fresh “jungle style” brewed cup of coffee while we change into our river gear.

You will then jump back up onto your horse for a scenic 15-minute ride through the rainforest until we come to the edge of a gentle slope. The descent down a well-established path will take 10 minutes, to where the magnificent Rio Claro or “Clear River” awaits.

Wearing our personal floatation devices, you will float down the river in a controlled manner through natural Jacuzzis and lagoons, all the while surrounded by the beauty and sounds of the rainforest.

At the end of your river floating experience some fresh fruit, like pineapple, will be served to you to help with stamina to hike back up a hill to where the horses will be waiting for you. You will ride 15 minutes or so, back to the typical house for a delicious Costa Rican-style lunch. The different traditional dishes/flavors will soothe both the body and soul.

There will be time to enjoy another cup of fresh brewed “jungle style” coffee or tea, relax and digest in a hammock before you head back on your horse to the original starting point.

Our vehicle(s) will be waiting to take you back to your hotel after a full day of adventure on this expedition through the heart of the South Pacific of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula.
